Police say the victim of the cell phone
One of the three suspects wanted in connection to the brutal attack in Morris Garden Park oc last Tuesday, June 25th just after 6:05 pm.  The suspects repeatedly punched and assaulted a 26-year-old woman with a stick before fleeing with the victim’s cell phone, police said. Police released surveillance footage of the suspects today.

This was the third violent incident to occur within a few days in Bronx parks.  On Thursday night a man was found dead in Van Cortlandt Park. Police now say he was stabbed 16 times.  Also on Thursday an 18-year-old woman reported being raped in Crotona Park

The Bronx has only three dedicated Park Enforcement Patrol officers available to patrol more than 7,000 acre of park land.

On Friday a man tried to rape a 26-year-old jogger in Central Park.

Police are looking for three women wanted in connection with a robbery in a crowded Bronx park, according to a WCBS report.
The incident occurred inside Morris Gardens Park at the corner of East 181st Street and Morris Avenue last Tuesday.
The suspects repeatedly punched and assaulted a 26-year-old woman with a stick before fleeing with the victim’s cell phone, police said.
The victim sustained numerous injuries, police said.
Two of the suspects are teenagers and the third is believed to be in her 30s. All three suspects are Hispanic, police said.
One of the teens is 5-feet-2-inches tall, 90 pounds with long brown hair, police said. She was last seen wearing a brown tank top and black pants.
The other teen weighs about 100 pounds and has brown hair, police said. She was last seen wearing a sleeveless pink button-down shirt and black pants.
The older woman is about 5-feet-4-inchess tall, about 220 pounds with brown hair, police said. She was last seen wearing a red t-shirt and black pants.
Surveillance video released by the NYPD shows the suspects running away from the scene moments after the attack, CBS 2′s Kathryn Brown reported. One of the women is seen holding a toddler; another woman is seen pushing a stroller.
Investigators said it’s likely the child was with the women during the alleged attack, Brown reported.
The attack, which happened just after 6 p.m. in front of dozens of children, has left many in the neighborhood concerned.
“Now I know I won’t be coming to this park at all,” a woman told CBS 2′s Kathryn Brown.
Investigators said it’s unclear if the suspects planned the attack or if it was a crime of opportunity, Brown reported.
Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
