Woman's Body Found In Bath Beach

A woman's body was found stuffed inside a collapsible shopping cart along the Brooklyn shoreline Sunday, police said.

The body was found by a passerby about 6:50 p.m. on a rocky part of the coastline near Shore Parkway and Bay 20th St. in Bath Beach, police said. The body was partially wrapped in black plastic.

"I was pretty shocked," said neighbor Shu Bin Zhu, 40. "I feel this place is pretty safe." Police said the case is under investigation. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

The remains of an unidentified woman, wrapped in a plastic bag and stuffed in a shopping cart, were found on the rocky shore of Gravesend Bay yesterday in Bath Beach.

Cops found the body at 6:51 p.m. at Bay 20th Street and Shore Parkway. The cause of death is under investigation.
