Prospect Park has a new leader with a long history of helping keep the city green. Emily Lloyd, a former commissioner of the city Department of Environmental Protection and the Department of Sanitation, has been chosen to replace the park’s longtime administrator, Tupper Thomas, according to the New York Times.

Ms. Lloyd, 65, will serve, as Ms. Thomas has, both as Prospect Park’s administrator for the parks department and as president of the Prospect Park Alliance, the nonprofit organization that helps run the park.
