The New York City Police Department is seeking assistance in locating any witnesses to the following Robbery and Assault which took place inside of Riverside Park in the confines of the 26 Precinct.

 

On Monday July 5, 2010 at approximately 6:00 a.m. inside of Riverside Park at West 120 Street, a F/W/19 years of age was jogging near the tennis courts when she was grabbed by an unidentified assailant who pushed her into a wall causing the victim to strike her  head and lose consciousness.  The victim was found unconscious on a park bench when 911 was called.  She was transported to St. Luke's Hospital where she is being treated for bleeding on the brain, a fractured cheek bone and lacerations to her face, head and neck.  The victim's iPod was removed during the incident.
